10 Perfect Galentine’s Day Gifts for Your BFF

Written by Rachel Shin
It’s almost that time of the year again: GALENTINE’S DAY!
We’re big fans of celebrating all the wonderful gal pals and BFFs in our lives here at Iridescent. But sometimes one day isn’t enough, especially with friends who live all over the globe!
Here are 10 great Galentine’s Day gift ideas for your girlfriends both near and far.
1- You’ve Got Mail!
Honestly, who doesn’t love getting mail – especially when it’s as adorable as Red Cap Cards? Or try Sweeter Cards, which includes a chocolate bar and a card all in one package!
2- It’s an *Inside* Joke
A few weeks ago, I spotted a pack of Seinfeld poker cards, and I immediately knew I had to get them for my girlfriend who’s a Seinfeld fanatic. Cards: $4. Her laughter: priceless.

3- Light it Up
Who doesn’t love candles? My long-time friend Katie Lawson is the founder of Soft Shadow Co., an independent small-batch, natural soy candle company. For Valentine’s Day, Soft Shadow has a special release of three lush scents including “Feels,” “Slow Dance” and “Pillow Talk.”
4- Dear Diary
Maybe it’s because I’m a writer but receiving a new journal is one of my favorite, simple pleasures! Throw in a cute pen and tie it all together with a ribbon, and your BFF will enjoy this gift for countless hours.
5- Bloom, Baby, Bloom!
Flowers don’t have to be just for romantics; they make a great gift for girlfriends, too! Whether it’s a lovely bouquet, a cute potted plant (hello to all my fellow plant moms) or a local flower subscription, these gifts are a thoughtful way to say, “You’re my ride or die.”
6- All That Glitters
One of my all-time favorite gifts was a beautiful ring my BFF gave me that was made up of our birthstones. I love supporting Dainty and Daring because the company’s jewelry is elegant, and every purchase goes toward ending human trafficking. If your BFF is passionate about good causes, consider supporting small businesses or retailers who share the same mission.
7- Frame This!
Every once in a while, I see a memorable picture on social media that makes me think, “I should frame this!” With so many pictures on our phones, we rarely take the time to frame pictures, especially those of close friends. Find a great photo, make a couple of copies and frame them: one for you, one for her.
8- Spa Day Every Day
When it comes to skincare, a little goes a long way. If you want to treat your BFF to some luxury that won’t break your bank, try gifts like Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream or Rel Beauty Lip Balm.
9- Bon Appétit!
We all have different love languages, and for some of us it’s food! Sharing a meal can be a great gift whether you’re cooking at home or dining out together. If your gal pal lives far away, consider sharing a meal via Zoom or sending her takeout from her favorite spot just because.
10- Music to My Ears
Does anyone else remember burning CD playlists for friends in high school, or is it just me? I love how easy Spotify makes it to send my BFFs a digital mixtape I think they’ll enjoy. Not only is this a budget-savvy gift, but it’s also a great way to introduce new music and stay connected.
I hope you feel inspired to celebrate some of your gal pals with these gift ideas on February 13! And to all the wonderful women out there – Happy Galentine’s Day from all of us at Iridescent.
